Is the growing trend of employees using personal mobile devices for work creating employee mistrust of employers?
Yes, according to a survey of around 3,000 individuals in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, conducted by Vision Critical on behalf of mobile device management firm MobileIron.
A full 80 percent of respondents are using their personal mobile devices at work, yet less than one-third of respondents said they “completely trust” their employer to keep their personal information private.
The survey also found that employees are confused about what employers can and cannot see on their mobile devices.
A full 41 percent of employees do not think their employer can see any information on their devices, while in reality employers can see a great deal, such as corporate email and data, location and a list of apps.
